skinny revisited

      I have been in the field of Social Work Clinical Practice for over three decades and am passionate about my work.  I have written extensively in the field of Clinical Social Work and am one of PsychologyToday.com' s regular contributors/ expert/ blogger since 2011 for which I have written over fifty articles. I am the author of Skinny Revisited: Rethinking Anorexia Nervosa and its Treatment published by NASW Press. The book delineates my methodology in the treatment of Anorexia Nervosa. 

      I was also one of the  DSM 5  Field Trial Collaborating Investigators and my name appears in the DSM 5. I have appeared on ABC News/Good Morning America, have taught Social Work on the university level and have lectured at varied venues on the topics of the treatment of eating disorders, clinical practice, relationships, dating and resiliency. I am the former appointed Chair for the NASW Private Practice Section Committee nationally, and have additionally served as an appointed Private Practice Committee member since 2012. I have considerable expertise in the field of High Sensitivity and have also served as a chaplain at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City.
